Does evil exist?

DOES EVIL EXIST?

Germany
Early 20th century

During a conference with several academics, a professor at the University of Berlin challenged his students with this question:
"God created everything that exists?"
A student bravely replied
"Yes he did."
"God created everything?"
The professor asked.
"Yes sir," replied the young man.
The teacher replied,
"If God created everything, then God created evil? Since evil exists, and according to the principle that our works are a reflection of ourselves, then God is evil? "
The student became quiet before such an answer and the teacher, happy, rejoicing to have proven once more that faith was a myth.
Another student raised his hand and said:
"Can I ask a question, professor?"
"Sure." It was the teacher's response.
The student stood up and asked:
"Professor, does cold exist?"
"That question is that? Of course it exists, or by chance you never been cold? "
The boy replied:
"In fact sir, cold does not exist. According to the laws of physics, what we consider cold is in reality the absence of heat. Every body or object is susceptible to study when it has or transmits energy, and heat is what makes this body have or transmit energy.
Absolute zero is the total and absolute absence of heat, all matter becomes inert and incapable of reaction, but the cold does not exist. We have created this word to describe how we feel when we have no heat "

"And, does darkness exist?"
The student continued.
The teacher replied, "Of course."
The student replied:
"Again you are wrong sir, darkness does not exist. Darkness is in reality the absence of light. The light can be studied, darkness can not!
There is even a prism of Nichols to break white light into many colors that are composed, with their different wavelengths.
Darkness can not!
A simple ray of light through the darkness and illuminates the surface where the beam ends.
How do you know how dark a certain space? Based on the amount of light present in that space, does not it?
Darkness is a term man developed to describe what happens when light is not present "

Finally the young man asked the professor:
"Sir, does evil exist?"
The teacher replied:
"Oh yes, of course there is, as I said from the beginning, we see rape, crime and violence around the world, these things are evil."
And the student replied:
"Evil does not exist sir, or at least does not exist by itself. Evil is simply the absence of good is the same as the previous cases, evil is a word that man has created to describe the absence of God.
God did not create evil.
Not like faith or love, that exist just as heat and light.
Evil is the result of humanity does not have God present in their hearts.
It's like the cold when there is no heat or the darkness where no light. "
By the year 1900, this young man received a standing ovation, and the teacher just shook his head remaining silent ...
Immediately the director went to that young man and asked what was his name?
And he answered:
"ALBERT EINSTEIN.

First, Einstein was never a student at the University of Berlin. He was a professor there, but not student.
Examining this history in light of the precepts of logic we find:
The comparison between the student makes the cold, darkness and evil is wrong. It is a fallacy, because they are not phenomena of the same class.
The student says that the cold does not exist, because it is not a phenomenon in itself, but it is only the absence of heat.
He is correct.
The student says that the darkness does not exist, because it is not a phenomenon in itself, but it is simply from the absence of light.
He is correct.
Tell the student that evil does not exist, because it is not a phenomenon in itself, but it is simply from the absence of good, is the same as the previous cases, evil is a word that man has created to describe the absence of God .

This is where the student makes a mistake, because he proved that both the cold and darkness have no independent existence, being merely the absence of phenomena that do exist, such as heat and light.
The cold is not the opposite of heat, but only its absence, just as darkness is not the opposite of light, but only its absence.
But the absence of good is not evil, as he claims. The absence of good is indifference, not evil.
When you pass by someone injured, hungry or sick person, that makes you want to help. You feel empathy for that person and demand to meet his needs, taking the wounded to a hospital, giving food to the hungry and providing a medical examination to the injured.

THAT'S GOOD.

In the absence of good, you do not feel empathy with the person, give him a look and feel no shame, you do not care about their suffering.

WHAT YOU FEEL IS NOT EVIL, BUT INDIFFERENCE.

Evil exists because when you pass by someone who is healthy, in perfect health and well-fed and hurt and you beat, rape, torture or kill that person, this is not implesmente showing indifference or lack of good. You are consciously producing a harmful outcome and that is very different from indifference. It is the opposite of good and not just his absence.
Thus, we conclude that if evil exists and was created by someone, that someone would have evil in their nature.
It is proven that God does not exist or is that bad?

NEGATIVE!

In fact, heat is a physical phenomenon consisting of vibration of the molecules of a substance called "Brownian motion" and can be easily measured by a simple instrument like a thermometer.
The water may be zero degrees Celsius (ice), 10 degrees, 20 degrees, thirty degrees, etc..
Absolute zero, or when there is Brownian motion corresponds to a temperature of -273.15 ° C.
Light is also a physical phenomenon consisting of electromagnetic radiation in the visible light spectrum and the photon emission and can be easily measured by a simple instrument like the photometer.
The light can be measured in Lux (lx symbol) (The International System of Units) which is the unit of luminance. Corresponds to perpendicular incidence of a lumen in an area of 1 square meter.
Lighting can be a 1 lux, ten lux, twenty lux etc.
The total absence of lux corresponds to what we call darkness.

Moreover, since the good  is not a physical phenomenon that can be measured by an instrument both good and evil have no independent existence. Not created by a being good or evil.
Good and evil are just moral concepts prevailing in a given society at a given time.
They range with geographical variation and temporal variation.
The Catholic Church itself has burnt in the Middle Ages, many people accused of being witches, heretics, contrary to his teachings. Galileo escaped "stinking" from the fire. He took three laps to the Tower of Pizza repeating that "The Earth does not move." At the end would have muttered "Ma si muove."
The Catholic Church was doing good when burned witches and heretics. Today, we deplored it’s attitude.
There are places where the clitoris is amputated by parentes of their daughters so they will not feel pleasure from sexual intercourse and thus will not betray their husbands. This is considered good for them. Do you think this is good or bad?
In Iran, a woman was recently sentenced to death by stoning for having betrayed her husband after his death. Before execution, the world cries was so great that they changed the stoning for hanging and invented what she had participated in the death of her husband.
In the same Iran, homosexuals are hanged in the name of Allah.
In Saudi Arabia the women who appear on the street showing an inch of your skin are beaten by religious Patrol.

Enough. Have you noticed that what is good for certain people in certain age is a terrible evil to other people somewhere else or at another time.
In short: Good and evil doesn’t exist.
They are simply social conventions.
The teacher in the story is just as wrong as the student!

THIS IS THE LOGIC.
